Human milk is designed for us humans. #DesignerMilkies anyone?
As an IBCLC, I have gone on to further specialize in oral restrictions, milk supply issues and food sensitivities.
Why these three things?
Because they all play a role in baby reflux. It took rough personal experience and a TON of research and reading to connect these dots.
It is a winning combination. Truly! I have been able to help families drastically decrease their little one’s reflux (holistically) or eliminate it all together.
I’ve worked with families during every stage of their journey. Together, we will ease the transition into parenthood because your goals become my goals. By working with you to overcome your hurdles, I’ll be here to help you get the most out of this precious time.
I earned my degree in Cardiovascular Technology and Cardiopulmonary Sciences. Over the years, I’ve worked with many children and babies in the pediatric cardiac catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab. In that time I have also been able to help families, from all walks of life, navigate nutritional care with breastmilk for their little ones.
Although I had experience helping other families, my personal mom experience has transformed the way I help others. #MumMum
I faced my own physical and emotional challenges surrounding breastfeeding, milk production and expectations from society. That whole new parent overwhelm, to say the least, was definitely present. It became quite apparent that there is a lack of available resources and support for families in the realm of human milk.
My desire to further educate myself, to help friends and family navigate their breastfeeding experiences, turned into thank you cards encouraging me to do more and help more families.
I am proud to call this profession a passion and to have been able to work hard so I can help make things easier for you. Knowledge, experience and compassion have gotten me to this point. I am proud to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). I am also proudly up to date with Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) and Adult Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certifications.
Simply put, I love what I do and I’ve been told my work reflects nothing less. I look forward to meeting you and helping you savor your journey through parenthood.
Support on your journey and a bit of tweaking goes a long way.
I am here to encourage and empower you without judgement. Also, you will be equipped with practical evidence-based information tailored for your experience and no shortage of the warm and fuzzies. Whether breast, chest, tube, bottle, cup or spoon, the outcome is happy and healthy. Feeding babies feels natural for some, but it is a learned skill for all.
Milk production is natural. Maintaining your supply and feeding your little one is a skill that needs guidance and takes practice.
